“As individuals, we creatively express ourselves in many ways, from the cars we drive to the clothes we wear. Adornment is a very creative and personal form of expression.”
Kim Coy, owner of Nicole Wayne Adornment Design is based out of Winter Park, Florida.

After spending too many years of her life with a misguided focus on work instead of family, Kim decided to become a stay-at-home mom and spend her spare time developing her love for jewelry design. With the full support of her husband Michael Wayne and daughter Alexis Nicole, Kim decided to start her own company, choosing to call it Nicole Wayne, after her husband and daughter. The name was a personal reminder to Kim of “family first”.

Kim’s designs reflect her admiration of the colors and textures found in nature. It is this “down to earth” creative approach, combined with her attention to detail and unshakeable standards that give her creations a gamut of textures and moods while being crafted with the highest integrity of workmanship.

“My pieces all begin with a blank slate – typically a sheet or strand of metal. I love the process of turning raw materials into art with purpose. I am a firm believer that all of my pieces should be so well made that with proper care they can be enjoyed for a lifetime. I give each component my personal and complete attention to ensure it becomes a piece I have no hesitation in standing behind.”

Kim describes her adornment designs as “intimately artistic with an aire of design professionalism”. Her artistic expression is a balance of experience and experimentation.

It’s nice to have people applaud your work, but it comes full circle when a person falls in love with one of my pieces and chooses to make it their own. To see my artistic creation become part of someone's personal creative expression is the ultimate ovation”
